Tell me an Intern group better than this! I’ll wait!😂🙌🏾 Anyone who knows me knows I am OBSESSED with this show! My brother Andrew keeps telling me it’s going to end soon (we are on Season 15😱), but I can only respond in one way: NEVERRRRRRR! I can’t say I’ve been watching from the very beginning. In fact, I was extremely late to the party. I used to see my Mom glued to the tv every Thursday night until finally, I decided to watch an episode with her. I was hooked! When I got my Netflix subscription (after the dark ages lol!), I started from the very beginning. I could not take my eyes off it. I remember being in San Francisco in 2012 to present my research at APHA. At night, I’d watch “Grey’s Anatomy” on my phone (ha!) because I still hadn’t made it all the way through the series yet. Definitely ran up the data bill that month (sorry mom and dad!) There are so many reasons to love this show. At the top of my list? It really does help me to study lol! Just last week there was a case of Wilson’s Disease. My team and I had literally just talked about that and other liver pathologies. The cases are written so well because the show employs real life doctors to ensure the accuracy. A little drama with my study? Yes please! Writing for Grey’s one day is definitely a dream of mine! Hey, Shonda!!
This sweatshirt is an Ode to Grey’s and I knew I had to have it. I wonder what Alex would say about my pink scrubs! Ha! I’m ready for the next call day…and the GYN Squad! Here are my top Grey’s moments:
– Denny gets his new heart and passes away. When Alex lifts Izzy from the bed, I choke up EVERY.👏🏾SINGLE.👏🏾TIME!👏🏾This was the first time I got #Shonda-ed.
– Lexie and Mark die in the plane crash. They were so in love, but it was just too late. After all the back and forth, they never got their chance. *wipes tear from eye
– George dies, but at first we don’t know if it’s him or Izzy because they’re both in the elevator, which is symbolic for…well…a lot of things. When he wrote 007 on Meredith’s hand, I almost fell out!
– Ok one more: Derrick dies in the car crash. I’m still trying to forgive Shonda for that one. Emotional walls, girl. Emotional walls.
