Why I #WearFIGS: Premier Scrubs Brand for Health Care Professionals

I always said that if I have to wear scrubs, I want to make them FASHUN. With the FIGS  brand, and their premium fabrics, attention to detail, and color drops that fashion the excitement of a new secret album release, I am able to accomplish that feat! The Scrubs:

Let’s start of with the staple of the brand: their scrubs! There are multiple styles for tops and bottoms. I like a brand that can provide options! As some of you may have noticed, the Catarina one pocket top and the Zamora jogger scrub pants are my absolute top picks! The fit is so comfortable with plenty of give. I also adore how creative a jogger scrub pant truly is. Before FIGS, I had never seen a scrub pant style quite like this. Each style of pants has more than enough pocket space for all of our tools and gadgets—another fave feature of mine. There is even a little hidden pocket in the inseam of the scrub pants with insignias for money, ring, and key; indicating you can place your valuables there for safe-keeping. Again, it’s all in the details. And the color drops?! No boring colors over here. FIGS provides soooo many vibrant options and y’all know how I feel about color. When a new color becomes available, you must RUN (not walk!) to the FIGS website to grab your pair. There are several core colors that are consistently restocked, but when the capsule collections sell out, there may not be a guaranteed restock. The Underscrubs:

Now y’all know those hospital and clinical exam rooms can get colder than cold. FIGS has you covered there as well! The underscrubs are made of the softest cotton materials and provide insulation absorbant enough to catch the sweat, but hefty enough to keep you warm. The Lab Coats: 

There is no better way to stunt at the hospital! That’s just facts. The first lab coat I fell in love with was the Statement lab coat. And it makes a statement, true indeed. It has a peplum hem, y’all!! A PEPLUM HEM! Again, my first time seeing this kind of lab coat design. I knew I had to have one. This lab coat fits so perfectly with my flared dresses and a-line skirts. Beyond. Perfect. Each lab coat has plenty of pocket space and some are even complete with zippered compartments. The Outerwear: 

SO, there are plenty of times, especially when you’re on the floors, when you do not want to wear your white coat. Sometimes, it is just easier to throw on a quick jacket or fleece. You guessed it. FIGS has those too! The outerwear is extremely comfy and has just as much pocket space as the other pieces; fashioning them as the perfect swap-out for your white coat. The Activewear:

Yes!! They have work out clothing too! As professionals who enhance and promote health, it is important that we, too, stay healthy. The work out gear was first rolled out during last year’s FIGS x Lululemon Immersion and let’s just say it was a hit! I absolutely love the logo branding on the straps of the sports bra. The Sneakers:

Y’all. This FIGS x New Balance collaboration was a HIT!! Okay?! As someone who has had ankle issues for several years, I can honestly say these sneakers provide a great deal of support as well as shock absorbency to get you through your shifts. And look-wise, they are so sleek and with just enough color. They just dropped a new pair as the perfect cherry on top of the New ICONS Collection. They absolutely sold out, BUT I am really hoping for a restock and for new shoes in the future! I wear a size 10 in most shoes, but I had to go up a size for these sneakers. The Socks:

With pithy slogans on the soles of your feet and beautiful colors adorning your calves, is there really anything else you need to get you through the day? These compression socks are comfy enough to wear all day, but tight enough to keep that blood circulating. And all of the socks provide amazing support and keep your feet nice and dry throughout the day. I own soooooo many pairs of the ankle socks! They really are very soft and durable. The Accessories:

And lastly, there are the accessories. FIGS was one of the first brands to come out with their own masks to protect us during the pandemic. They were even careful enough to ensure the masks come with interchangeable filters. Just so thoughtful. The 24/7 Performance Headband is another favorite of mine.
