One of my favorite types of clothing to wear. Especially in the warmer months, it is just so convenient to throw on a workout set, add a chic layer on top, and head out the door. As I stated in a previous post, I’ve got dressing up down pat, but I’m still working on what casual means to me. Usually I am either dressed to the nines or wearing sweats. There historically has not been a great medium for me. But here I am attempting to elevate my casual style in a realistic and approachable way. There are absolutely days when I will still run to the grocery store in sweats and a huge coat, but there will also be days when I want to elevate my casual look. Yes, even fashionistas have ever evolving style. Cue the athleisure wear.
There are four brands in particular that really stand out when it comes to athleisure attire. The design teams for these brands always get it right; offering beautiful colors, bold prints, and even crossbody bags, and tremendously chic coats. I am not sure when athleisure brands started offering trench coats of all things, but as you can see below, I am totally here for it. This London-based brand has such crafty designs and a wide range of stunning prints. Their coats are definitely my favorite. Do y’all see the color block trench?! Love at first sight!
Every single piece speaks to the color lover in me. I mean really. Designer Mikaela Pabon can do no wrong. The pattern play is so fun to mix and match; dress up or down and the silhouettes are flattering for so many different body types.
Their leggings absolutely give good stretch. The fit is spot on (especially high-waisted pieces) and their accessories are so fabulous. I love an athleisure brand that is practical and still brings the fashions.
Y’all already know! The quintessential scrubs brand has ventured off into so many different design types and athletic wear is one. I am definitely feeling the biker shorts. The scrubs jackets may be for work, but they can also double as a top layer for when you’re feeling sporty outside the hospital.
